Bringing Christ to at-risk youth through athletics.
The Situation
Many people see the inner city as a hopeless situation. Crime, family breakdown, gang violence and drugs are all powerful influences. But we believe the worst circumstances can be overcome with the love and commitment of successful role models and responsible life principles. So, in order to impart “The Right Stuff” to these young people, we use the sport of basketball as our platform.

“Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and the oppressed.”

Socialogical Justification
A fatherless boy is...
20 times more likely to go to prison
20 times more likely to have a behavioral disorder
9 times more likely to drop out
5 times more likely to commit suicide
Why Basketball?
Basketball allows us to bridge the cultural, economic and educational barriers that might otherwise exist. Sports are, without question, the most racially integrated parts of our society. By using basketball we are simply taking advantage of our advantages.
